We have been producing DVDs for my daughter's HS band this way, and they work just fine, many in regular printers that will take DVD/CDs through their print tray. That way you also avoid the issue of off center labels causing problems when spinning at high speed. I also second the recommendation for Disk Cover and its predecessor Discus. Unless you are into something really elaborate, these provide plenty of options.
